Hey there! 

I recently asked you to take my Spring Priorities Survey. Today, I’m happy to share that we received almost 1,300 responses, full of ideas about how I can better serve you and protect you from this radical administration! For instance:

→ 74% of you say defending democracy is one of your top priorities.

→ 62% are concerned about protecting benefits programs like Medicare and Medicaid, Social Security, and food assistance. 

→ 31% selected healthcare as one of their major concerns, while 29% say the economy, Trump’s trade war, and/or rising inflation are top of mind. 

→ 89% are dissatisfied with Trump’s presidency so far.

 One respondent shared this bit of wisdom: “This is a marathon, not a sprint.”

Another urged: “Hone your skills to be in the struggle for the long run. We need you.”

I appreciate you taking the time to share your honest thoughts. 

After reading through quite a few responses myself, I want to share this: If you’re frustrated, sad, fearful, or just plain angry about the state of our country, you are not alone. 

Like many of you, I believe we need fearless and assertive leaders to get us through this crisis.

So, let me say this: I spent the first half of my career taking down violent offenders and domestic abusers in the courtroom. “Giving up” is not in my vocabulary.

Each morning, I wake up determined to protect your power, your peace, and your prosperity from those who want to take it away. 

Thank you for being an active and engaged member of our grassroots community. We won’t let apathy win. 

When, one day, we finally choose to leave hate and fear behind us, I’ll proudly walk forward with you.
