California recently surpassed Japan to become the world’s 4th largest
economy.

I want to share how I’m thinking about this news, as a candidate to be our
state’s next governor. [ [link removed] ]But first, will you chip in $5 to
help us win next year, so I can keep fighting to grow our economy in a way
that shares prosperity for all Californians?

I’m proud to celebrate California’s successes—but I want to make sure
every Californian benefits from our large economy. That means making sure
families can actually afford to live here, and that we protect the things
that make our state so special, like our amazing coastline and natural
resources.

Our state government needs to work with businesses, workers, and
consumers, so that the innovations that have been happening in California
stay in California. Our leaders must stand up to federal threats to
California’s dynamism, including attacks on our universities. And we need
to bring down the cost of living, especially the cost of housing and child
care, so that our state can attract and retain the best and brightest.

My focus as governor will be to foster a strong, stable, globally
competitive economy—and to do so in a way that doesn’t leave any
Californian behind.
