Israel is continuing to block critical aid to the people of Gaza, despite 140,000 tonnes of UN food sitting outside the border.
Foreign Secretary David Lammy has called out Israel's actions as “monstrous” and announced that Britain would suspend trade talks with Israel. Given the 19 months of British complicity in Israel’s genocide, Lammy’s condemnation rings hollow.
Meanwhile, Britain's trade envoy Lord Austin has been spotted in Haifa, with the British Embassy announcing “British-Israeli cooperation at every stop.” This is why we have to increase the pressure even further on the British government to impose a full arms embargo on Israel.
Join the Palestine Coalition in creating a red line around Parliament for Palestine during Prime Minister’s Questions on Wednesday 4 June to demand the government imposes a full arms embargo and sanctions on Israel now!
- Assemble 11:30am
- Westminster, London
- Please wear red clothing.
Updates will be posted to our event page here.

Nuclear War: A Scenario – join the online discussion with Annie Jacobsen
Ahead of the paperback publication of her international best-selling book, Nuclear War: A Scenario, we're delighted to have Annie Jacobsen join CND and British Pugwash for an evening of discussion about her work detailing the outbreak of a global nuclear war.
Meticulously researched, the book is a sobering minute-by-minute account of what happens from the initial launch, through a series of cascading escalations that expose the realities of what is to come.

Residents request meeting with minister ahead of Devonport demonstration
Ahead of CND's protest at the Devonport Dockyard on Saturday 7 June, Plymouth residents are calling for a meeting with local MP and Armed Forces Minister Luke Pollard, over the dangers posed by living next to a nuclear base and how the nuclear weapons industry brings economic deprivation, not prosperity, to areas like Devonport.
The Dockyard is operated by arms company Babcock and is currently servicing one of Britain's nuclear-armed fleet. As well as a history of toxic leaks, the billions of pounds flowing through the shipyard isn’t reaching the local population, with child poverty rates are over 35% in some wards in Devonport.
