Last month, my firm sued Donald Trump and his administration on behalf of the DGA and Democratic leaders to block his Executive Order stripping voter protections and handing power to election deniers. Trump is running an all-out assault on our democracy, and this was his administration’s latest attempt to break the law, violate the Constitution, and threaten the right to vote – but we’re not going to let them get away with it. We will fight back at every step.

Team, Donald Trump’s Executive Order was a dangerous power grab. While a judge issued a preliminary injunction to block multiple provisions of it, this is just the first step – we’re fighting to make it clear: the President can’t rewrite federal election laws on his own.

This order attacks vote-by-mail, jeopardizes voting rights for millions of Americans – including active duty military members serving overseas – and makes it harder for states to run their own free and fair elections. It would have tipped future elections in Republicans’ favor and punished states that are working to protect voting rights. It would even allow Elon Musk’s DOGE to access sensitive state voter information.

That’s why we can’t afford to stop now. Democrats are fighting back to protect your rights. Our Democratic governors are leading that effort, standing strong and serving as the last line of defense against repeated Republican attacks on voting rights and so much more. They’re even suing the Trump Administration – and winning.

But I need you to remember that the GOP and their right-wing groups will do anything to hold onto power – including undermining election administration and suppressing voter turnout – which means there is too much at stake to sit on the sidelines.
