BREAKING: Our 2025 Guide to Sunscreens is now available!

Dear friend,

There's no question about it: Effective sunscreen is a key way to protect yourself from harmful UV radiation – but the best sunscreen is the one you’ll actually use.

EWG believes you should have safe and effective sunscreen options, and that’s why our team of scientists and policy experts works year-round to hold the sunscreen industry accountable and advocate for strong safety standards.

We just launched our 2025 Guide to Sunscreens, and now we’re checking in to find out about your sun safety priorities.

Take our short survey and get the facts about sunscreen.

Our team reviewed more than 2,200 SPF products, and we found toxic chemicals, weak protection and misleading labels in far too many of them.

Only one in four sunscreens reviewed by EWG this year met our standards for safety and effectiveness. That means three out of four products on store shelves may contain harmful ingredients or offer inadequate protection.

You shouldn’t have to navigate threats and ambiguity when keeping your family safe in the sun.

Will you take a quick survey to help shape EWG’s strategy for sunscreen safety?

Your input will help EWG push for safer sunscreens. It will help us and keep the pressure on our government and big brands to clean up their act, so you can enjoy the sun confidently.

Thank you for being part of our community.
