Dear Community Partner,

In these challenging times, consumers are left navigating an economic landscape marked by rising interest rates, inflation, and the threat of tariffs. These factors are contributing to higher prices for household goods and escalating borrowing costs, making it increasingly challenging to manage and repay existing debts.

As consumers feel the weight of these uncertain times and struggle to reassess their financial strategies, it’s time for us to come together as a community to discuss managing debt in the current economy and strategize on savvy solutions that consumers can employ to stay afloat.

Join us on Tuesday, June 17, for a free training: Solutions for Managing Debt in Turbulent Times. We are excited to have two distinguished speakers join us for this event. Bruce McClary, senior vice president of media relations and membership at the National Foundation for Credit Counseling, will present on debt management plans, and on strategies, solutions and essential resources for consumers seeking financial stability. Miriam Straus, policy advisor at Community Catalyst, will provide an overview of the impact of medical debt on credit reports and discuss the ongoing lawsuit challenging the CFPB rule to remove medical debt from consumer credit reports, which was to take effect in March.

Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC) professionals can earn 1.5 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) by attending this webinar.

DATE/TIME: Tuesday, June 17, at 10 a.m. PT (11 a.m. MT; noon CT; 1 p.m. ET)
