For far too long, we’ve watched certain lawmakers attempt to whittle away at the benefits of these foundational programs. These are the very programs that our neighbors and friends in Colorado count on every day.

Cutting these benefits is more than unfair—it's an affront to so many livelihoods. Our seniors have built their lives with the promise of Social Security, and many of our families rest easier knowing Medicaid is there to help with medical costs.

Nevertheless, there's a push right now to cut these essential programs to help pay for tax breaks for the ultra-wealthy. We can't stand by and let this happen.

This approach to Social Security and Medicaid isn't a plan— it's an abandonment of our values.

I'm fighting to stand up to these challenges, but it's a fight that requires a team effort. That's where you come in.
