Hi John, it's the Maine Dems.

You might've heard about the new referendum seeking to attack absentee voting and create more stringent voter ID laws.

It's a blatant power grab from Republicans seeking to suppress Democratic votes, and it jeopardizes two whole percentage points of the Democratic vote share – that's 13,000 votes!

The outcome of this referendum will shape the future of elections in Maine. If we lose, absentee ballot voting – one of our most effective tools for mobilizing and turning out our base – will be stripped away ahead of our most critical races in 2026.

We're expecting a well-funded campaign to pass this referendum, backed by out-of-state Republican mega-donors, so we need to step up now to be ready.

That's where you come in, John. With early investment and bold organizing, we can protect Maine voters and build the foundation for a historic Democratic turnout.

If you chip in today, ahead of our critical May fundraising deadline, your grassroots support will power the Democrats to victory in 2026 – no matter what national Republicans throw our way. Can we count on your support?

Thank you!
