Hey John,

By now, you’ve probably heard the news that Justice Democrats made our
first official endorsement of the 2026 midterm elections: Donavan McKinney
in Michigan’s 13th district!

Just like in most of our previous primary campaigns, we expect to be going
up against a powerful opponent with a massive war chest and multiple dark
money super PACs at their disposal, including the American Israel Public
Affairs Committee (AIPAC).

AIPAC’s far-right network spent $126.9 million in the 2024 cycle, and we
know they could spend whatever it takes to keep this seat in 2026. [ [link removed] ]This
is a fight between people and big money — will you chip in to Justice
Democrats and Donavan’s campaign to prepare for the battle ahead?

In MI-13, the anti-Palestinian lobby group funded by right-wing megadonors
has bought incumbent Rep. Shri Thanedar’s loyalty. He went from being a
so-called “progressive” candidate that AIPAC spent against when he first
ran for Congress to being endorsed by them, accepting campaign checks,
millions in support from affiliated PACs, and going on AIPAC-sponsored
trips to Israel.

AIPAC’s spending last cycle to unseat working-class champions Cori Bush
and Jamaal Bowman from Congress made those elections the most expensive in
U.S. history. We know they’re going to come at us again with everything
they’ve got to stop our movement’s momentum with Democratic voters who are
desperate to see a new generation of unbought leaders in Congress.

This race is not only an opportunity to replace an out-of-touch
multimillionaire with a working-class champion, but it’s also an
opportunity to take out another AIPAC-backed political opportunist with a
grassroots-supported fighter for his community.
