Trump and his allies have made their environmental agenda painfully clear. It’s all about making fossil fuel companies richer while the rest of us pay the price.
They're not even pretending anymore. They’re threatening to eviscerate the Inflation Reduction Act -- the most significant climate legislation in our nation’s history. They’re trying to gut the Clean Air Act and the Clean Water Act -- laws that have protected Americans for decades.
They want to slash funding for climate science and shut down research. They are going to derail clean energy jobs, put our health in danger and our economy at risk by driving up energy costs for families, and make us more vulnerable to wildfires, hurricanes, floods, and droughts.
You know how important making meaningful progress on climate action has always been to me. I am doing everything I can to fight these policies in the Senate, but we need everyone on board.
