Huge news: Congressman Jared Golden just delivered a major victory for Maine’s Second District — unlocking $1.6 million in funding for the Auburn-Lewiston Airport that had been frozen by the Trump Administration.
This funding will support critical upgrades, including the construction of a new hangar, to improve the airport so it can better serve the region and service more business, charter, and cargo flights in Auburn.
Jared went to bat for Maine — and he won. Project deadlines meant that if the funds had been frozen just one more day, the upgrades might not have happened. Jared got the grants flowing so the project could move forward as planned.
