FIRST: Super PACs and dark money groups spent over $4.4 billion in last year’s federal elections.

THEN: Rep. Summer Lee and I introduced the Abolish Super PACs Act, a bill that would effectively eliminate super PACs in federal elections.

NOW: Super PACs are attacking me because I’m trying to put them out of business.

I’ve never taken a dime of PAC or lobbyist money, and I never will. When I was first elected, I co-founded the No PAC Caucus and introduced a bill to ban all PAC and lobbyist money from Congress because I firmly believe that our government should work for the people, NOT special interests.

By addressing the dangerous influence of unlimited spending in our elections, we can create a stronger democracy for all Americans.
