Hi John,

I’m Zaki, coordinator of a global network of activists and defenders
involved in the #StopEACOP campaign — a fight to stop the world's largest
heated crude oil pipeline in Africa.^1

For centuries, Africa has powered the world — with our labor, our
resources, and our land. Today, as the world races toward a clean energy
future, we are at risk of being plundered once again.

Empires were built on the backs of our people, from the mines of the Congo
to the plantations of the Caribbean. Yet millions across Africa still live
without access to reliable energy. Now, corporations and foreign
governments see our lands as the next frontier for lithium, cobalt, and
nickel — fueling their green transition while leaving our people in the
dark.

But we refuse to let history repeat itself. That’s why we’re building
REPower Afrika. It’s a movement for liberation, to not only demand a
transition to renewables but to ensure that transition is led by African
communities and the workers themselves. It's for a democratic energy
system, free from the corporate greed that brought us here.

make this vision a reality, we need you.
Your donation
supports us working toward a future powered by 100% renewables. A future
where energy is owned by the people, not by distant investors seeking to
extract wealth from African people and lands.

Your donation today can help fund:

* Trainings and support for community organizers to equip people with
the tools to fight for — and win — local, people-powered renewable
energy solutions.
* Grassroots organizing and advocacy to push back against exploitative
deals that keep Africa trapped in energy poverty.
* Campaigns to end fossil fuel expansion, like our #StopEACOP campaign,
and demand public control over Africa’s energy resources.

[ [link removed] ]Can
you make a donation today? Together, we can grow a movement that brings
real energy access, owned and led by communities, and ensures Africa’s
renewable future is built on justice, not extraction.

With your support, we can break free from a system that treats Africa like
an extraction zone — and instead, build a clean energy future that serves
our people first.

Thank you for standing with us.

Zaki for 350 Africa

1 - StopEACOP is an intersectional environmental and social justice
campaign, fighting against the development of the world's largest heated
crude oil pipeline: the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP). By
working against this colossal 1,443-kilometer pipeline, stretching from
Uganda to Tanzania, we’re not only trying to save communities, water
resources, wetlands and wildlife — we’re also emphasizing the right of
African communities to live a life beyond the harms of extraction.
