Hi! I'm Karina, Columbus Stand Up's new summer intern!
I am a fourth-year student at The Ohio State University, studying City and Regional Planning and Public Policy Analysis. I am joining the CSU team this summer to help plan a youth-led candidate forum for the fall and manage our summer events itinerary.
I decided to intern with Columbus Stand Up! to gain hands-on experience with grassroots organizing—what it really looks like, and how individuals can contribute to building powerful social movements. I am excited to deepen my organizing skills and connect with community members throughout the summer.
Upcoming Events
Meet Karina and the CSU team at the free spaghetti dinner and conversation on June 10 from 6-8pm at 1890 E. Main St hosted by CSU.
We will also be at the Umoja Juneteenth Block Party on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church (428 E Main St, Columbus). Join us at the free event by reserving tickets!

Columbus Stand Up! is powered by everyday people showing up for each other. Whether it’s helping at community events or spreading the word about important issues—we need you.
This summer and fall, we’re especially looking for volunteers to support voter outreach, event logistics, and tabling. No experience needed—just a passion for justice and a willingness to learn.
Together, we can make real change—one step, one conversation, one action at a time.
