John, An African village in the Democratic Republic of the Congo was bustling – kids were in school, residents at the market – completely unaware of the nightmare closing in. Our contacts say that during a raid – one of many – ISIS-linked jihadists swept in with ruthless force, targeting Christian villagers. Residents fled into the rainforest, clinging to hope. They held out for days, but facing starvation, a village leader returned to find food. He was caught and burned alive on the spot. Pictures were circulated by the jihadists as a warning to others. It's hard for me to even write about the evil being perpetrated in the Congo. Evil is striking fear into the hearts of God's people, but we must defend and intercede for these Christians. Our message: Prosecute those responsible for executions and sexual violence, and provide aid and protection for Christians. We aren't stopping there.
