Today, on Memorial Day, we pause to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

For me, this day is deeply personal.

I served in the Marine Corps. I’ve stood beside my brothers and sisters in uniform. And I’ve mourned my fellow service members who never made it home.

Memorial Day isn’t about politics or partisanship — it’s about remembering. It’s about honoring the courage, the duty, and the sacrifice of those who gave everything for something greater than themselves.

In their memory, we must strive every day to live up to the promise of our country’s values and the freedoms they fought to protect.
