Here’s what is top of mind for our Liberal team as Parliament resumes today, friend.

Mark Carney and our Liberal MPs will officially begin the work in the House of Commons to deliver on the positive plan Canadians voted for on April 28 – our plan to build Canada strong.

We’re focused on building a Canada that benefits everyone. We’re ready to build the strongest economy in the G7, bring costs down for Canadians to help them get ahead, make housing more affordable, create new jobs, and strengthen relationships with our trading partners.

Joining the team in Parliament are talented and dedicated first-time MPs like:

- Bruce Fanjoy – who knocked on more than 15,000 doors before the campaign began to defeat Pierre Poilievre and win in Carleton
- Sima Acan in Oakville who became the first Turkish-Canadian elected to the House of Commons
- Nationally-recognized singer-songwriter and community advocate David Myles from Fredericton–Oromocto
- Mandy Gull-Masty from Abitibi–Baie-James–Nunavik–Eeyou who is the first Indigenous person to be Minister of Indigenous Services
