Dear Texans,

Throughout American history, men and women in uniform have stepped up to protect and defend the American people and uphold the values that make our country the greatest in the history of the world.

Memorial Day is a time for us to reflect on the true costs of our freedom.

Texas has a rich legacy of patriots who made the ultimate sacrifice. Our fallen Texans are a testament to duty, valor, and courage. Generations to come will inherit a freer and safer world of opportunity because of our heroes.
