On this Memorial Day, I hope you’ll join me in remembering our brave servicemembers who gave their lives while defending our country — and the families who carry their loss every day.
We will never forget their courage, their sacrifice, or the freedoms they protected for all of us. We owe them a debt that can never be fully repaid.
Together, we honor these heroes by recommitting ourselves to the ideals that define our nation: freedom, justice, and equality for all.
In Congress, I remain dedicated to ensuring that our servicemembers and their families receive the care and support they deserve — both while they serve and when they return home.
Remember to give thanks for our freedom, for which so many have sacrificed so much. My thoughts are with all the families across our nation who are missing a loved one at their table tonight.
