Back in 2022, Jon Ossoff and I first introduced a bill to ban stock trading for members of Congress and their families.

It’s incredibly popular with the American public. If you can believe it, even Donald Trump’s a fan of it. But here in Congress, there hasn’t been much urgency. Go figure.

It is one of my fundamental beliefs that no one in public service should benefit from the sensitive information they have access to. Senators and members of Congress see information every day that impacts the economy. And they should not be able to profit off of that.

It’s wrong.

With all the rampant corruption these days, Jon and I decided to reintroduce our bill. I’m encouraging our colleagues in the Senate to consider it, and to pass it.

I partnered with Jon on this because we are of the same mind on it. He’s a smart guy, he’s an ethical guy, and he’s a hard worker. Someone of character — we need a lot more people like that in the Senate, and that starts by keeping folks like Jon here.

I look forward to working with Jon on issues like this and many more in the years to come — but before that can happen, he’s got to win re-election. And as the only incumbent Democratic Senator defending a seat in a state Trump won, he’s got a tough campaign ahead of him.

The Georgia Senate race is going to be one of the most expensive and competitive in the country. And to make sure Jon keeps fighting the good fight in the Senate, we have to help him win.

So, If you can afford it, I’m humbly asking you to split a contribution between Jon Ossoff and me. Anything helps, and I’m only asking you to give what’s right for you. These donations add up fast when everybody’s chipping in, and that’s how we’ll win in Georgia.
