18,300,000. That’s how many kids could lose access to free school meals across the country under Trump and the GOP’s newest budget.

$863,000,000,000. That’s the combined net worth of three of the men in the picture below; Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk, and Jeff Bezos. Yes you read that right. $863 billion. Almost a trillion dollars.



This picture — a picture of the wealthiest men in the world standing behind Donald Trump as he is sworn in to serve our country in the Oval Office — says so much about who Trump and the GOP care about.

They are happy to kick millions of Medicaid, or to reduce food assistance for struggling families, or to cut Social Security benefits for seniors, if it means they can lower their own tax bills and hoard even more money. It doesn’t have to be this way.

You see, Shaun, we don’t suffer from scarcity in America. We have the means and the resources to make sure everybody has food, housing, healthcare, education, safe and clean communities, and more.

What we suffer from is greed. And I am committed to fighting the greed of these billionaire oligarchs until we create an economy and democracy that works for everyone and not just the wealthy few. We don’t have to let people like Trump and Elon Musk decide whether or not our nation takes care of its most vulnerable.
