John, I’m running for Secretary of State because I believe we need leaders who treat the responsibility of public service with honesty and humility.

My goal is simple: to ensure our elections are fair, secure, and accessible for all Iowans, and to restore trust in our system.

I grew up in Bettendorf, Iowa, in a family rooted in public service—teachers, small business owners, and veterans.

After serving as a Navy helicopter pilot, working on Capitol Hill, and mentoring future leaders at the Naval Academy, I’ve seen firsthand what it means to lead with integrity, service, and honor.

Now, I want to continue that service in my home state of Iowa. With disinformation becoming more and more prevalent, we need a Secretary of State who will be a champion for voters in this state. Our democracy depends on it.
