Hi John – Tony Evers here, Governor of Wisconsin, with an important question.

While Donald Trump recklessly implements his MAGA agenda – ignoring average Americans’ lives being upended in his wake – Democratic governors are doing everything we can to hold him accountable and make Americans’ lives better.

We’re even suing him – and winning.

But now I have a question for you, John, to help inform our work:

What do you want to see Democratic governors focus on right now?

John, the Trump administration's reckless actions are causing chaos and uncertainty here in Wisconsin and across the country. They’re gutting funding for life-saving medical research, axing federal programs that provide services to millions of Americans, spiking the price of household goods – and the list goes on.

In the face of this damage, Democratic governors like myself have remained steady and ready to lead. We’re taking action against the Trump administration to defend our progress, protect our freedoms, and move our states forward:

• Maine Gov. Janet Mills took Donald Trump to court for overreaching his authority and illegally freezing funds that go to feeding children in Maine – and she won.
• Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear joined a multi-state lawsuit against the Trump administration over cuts to health departments around the country by Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
• New York Gov. Kathy Hochul filed a lawsuit challenging President Trump’s tariffs that have created economic chaos, driven up prices, and harmed families and businesses.
• The Democratic Governors Association is even suing Donald Trump over his unconstitutional Executive Order attacking voting rights.
• And here in Wisconsin, I filed a lawsuit against Donald Trump and his administration to stop them from dismantling the Department of Education, cutting critical public school funding, and hurting Wisconsin kids.

Across the country, Democratic governors are standing up for American families, and standing against Trump’s extremism. But as we face a Republican trifecta in Washington, input from grassroots supporters like you is invaluable in continuing to fight for our top priorities.

It’s going to take all of us coming together – including you, John – to fight for what’s right.
