John,
Every May, we celebrate Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. It’s a time to honor the impactful contributions and vibrant cultures from Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities nationwide.
From trailblazing discoveries by Asian American scientists to the commitment of Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander health care professionals, AANHPI communities contribute profoundly to the fabric and culture of our society.
Yet, our celebration needs to go beyond mere events or online acknowledgments. It demands recognition of the struggles AANHPI communities face — and galvanizing action for equity and inclusion in the face of an administration that is doing everything possible to erase the contributions of diversity.
Join us in showing support today. By standing together, we can celebrate AANHPI Heritage Month and make change happen. In embracing this special month, we reflect on the diverse AANHPI community’s rich cultural legacy and accomplishments.
I feel privileged to be part of a campaign that champions the empowerment of AANHPI voices, challenges stereotypes, and steadfastly works for representation rights.
Thank you for your time today,
Lauren
