** What’s new at PAWS
------------------------------------------------------------
Spring is a time for rebirth, and nobody knows that better than cats. Every year, as the weather gets warmer, kittens start flooding our streets and shelters. Without intervention, those kittens can start breeding at just four months old, leading to an exponential increase of homeless cats. Our mission to save lives starts here, and here’s how you can help:
Consider adopting ([link removed]) in pairs.
Kittens who are 12 weeks and under often do better when paired with a playmate to provide companionship, socialization, and endless entertainment.
Become a foster ([link removed]) parent.
We’re always looking for temporary homes for kittens who are too young to be adopted. Whether you take in an orphan or provide a safe place for a nursing mom, you’ll be making a huge difference.
Donate ([link removed]) to help support spay/neuter.
PAWS operates the only remaining high-volume, free and low-cost spay/neuter clinic in Chicago, and we’re 100% community funded.
Kittens can’t help themselves. It’s up to us to give them the life they deserve.

** Volunteer Spotlight
------------------------------------------------------------
“What really impressed me when I started volunteering at PAWS was that they are committed for life,” says PAWS Volunteer of the Month, Laura Karas. “I've had pets all my life, and they have brought me so much love and joy. They inspire me every day to help save as many homeless pets as I can.”

** Save a life on Giving Day - June 26
------------------------------------------------------------
Every homeless pet deserves a second chance—and on PAWS Chicago Giving Day on Thursday, June 26, you can be the reason why.
PAWS Chicago’s Giving Day is a celebration of compassion, community, and hope. It’s a day when animal lovers like you come together to make an immediate and lasting difference for the pets who need us most.
Since 1997, our community’s collective action has helped drive an 89% reduction in pet euthanasia citywide. Giving Day is a time to celebrate and pay it forward.
Please plan to join us. Every dollar helps deliver lifesaving surgeries, medical care, behavior support, and the chance for a homeless pet to find a family. Together, we can be the solution for homeless pets.
** See you there!
