I’m incredibly frustrated with Democrats’ messaging. We wonder why we keep losing, but then you look at what we’re talking about and where we’re saying it and it becomes a lot clearer. We do a lot of talking in circles, to ourselves.
I understand swing voters, because they are my voters. The only way I win this toss-up seat is by talking to persuadable voters and proving to them they can trust me.
That’s why I’m a huge proponent of Democratic messengers getting out of their comfort zone and reaching voters where they actually get their information. That means social media, churches, FOX News, podcasts. You name it, we have to be there.
Over the past week, you may have caught me on MSNBC, the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, Brian Tyler Cohen’s YouTube show, local TV, Sirius XM radio, and even going viral across social media for standing up to RFK Jr.
Why? Because I believe it's absolutely critical that we push back against the Trump Administration and don’t stay stuck in our own messaging silos.
If Democrats want to break through the noise, we need to reach voters everywhere — through traditional media, new media, social media, town halls, in-person events, knocking on doors, and beyond.
