[ [link removed] ]Katie Porter for Governor

John,

This week, I joined the Canyon Democrats in Orange County for their
largest meeting ever. Take a look 👇

I’m so grateful for the over 600 people who showed up to the event to hear
about my campaign for governor and my vision for California. It was truly
energizing, and made me think back to the 2018 election cycle, when I was
a member of Canyon Dems who was running in a tough race to flip a
Republican congressional seat blue. There were just about 30 people in the
room back then, but we got to work, and we flipped that seat blue—helping
give Democrats the House majority.

This is what democracy and growing a movement looks like.

There’s no substitute for being in direct contact with voters. Especially
in a big state like California, where we have millions of votes to win,
it’s important to me that my campaign is intentional about creating
opportunities for voters to hear from me and for me to learn from them. I
can’t knock on every voter’s door, but that’s not an excuse to skip out on
these kinds of personal conversations.

I have never been the type of candidate who spends all my time at
receptions and high-dollar fundraisers, because that’s not how I show
people that they can trust me to do the job of representing them.

From my three competitive Congressional races to now, every campaign I’ve
ever run has been 100% grassroots powered, right down to how I
fundraise—rejecting donations from corporations, lobbyists, and Big
Pharma, Big Oil, and Big Bank CEOs.

$5, so this campaign has the resources to send me into
every part and pocket of California?
