PASSING PRESIDENT TRUMP'S "ONE, BIG, BEAUTIFUL BILL" OUT OF THE U.S. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES Yesterday, I voted to pass President Trump’s "One, Big, Beautiful Bill" to deliver historic tax cuts for Iowa families, farmers, workers, and small businesses. This legislation also funds our border patrol agents, continues construction of the border wall, revives domestic manufacturing, unleashes American energy dominance, and kicks illegal immigrants off taxpayer-funded benefits. I’m further glad that provisions that I led are included like death tax relief, paid family and medical leave for employees of small businesses, affordable crop insurance policies for young and beginning farmers, and investments in foreign animal disease prevention. More than 77 million Americans made clear at the polls that they want President Trump’s America First agenda codified into law, and our "One, Big, Beautiful Bill" delivers on this promise. Thanks to President Trump’s leadership, our families will see big tax cuts, Iowa workers will have higher wages, our farmers will see relief from the death tax, and our small businesses and local manufacturers will grow and thrive. This new facility will support job training, daycare, and other services for Iowans in Sioux City. SPEAKING BEFORE THE HOUSE ARMED SERVICES COMMITTEE IN SUPPORT OF THE 185TH AIR REFUELING WING On Tuesday, I spoke in front of the House Armed Services Committee to request funding for the runway replacement at the 185th Air Refueling Wing in Sioux City. This project must be completed ASAP to support our troops, protect our national security, and keep Sioux City strong. OUR FARMERS AND PRODUCERS WIN WITH OUR "ONE, BIG, BEAUTIFUL BILL" President Trump's "One, Big, Beautiful Bill" delivers for our farmers! We increased the death tax threshold to preserve our rural traditions, keep American farmland in the hands of American farmers, and protect family farms and family-owned businesses from paying massive tax bills and going out of business. We also extended opportunity zones to drive private capital and investment into rural communities and included a provision to lower the cost of administering and securing agricultural business loans. Additionally, this legislation includes my work to lower the cost of crop insurance for the next generation of Iowa farmers and producers!
