Hey John,
Look, I'm not here to sugarcoat things: Donald Trump is working overtime
to dismantle everything we've built. If his administration has its way,
billionaires and the ultra-wealthy will come first, and working families
dead last.
Take this last election. AIPAC spent over $25 million to take down my
progressive colleagues Cori Bush and Jamaal Bowman. They wanted to break
our movement—and yes, they succeeded in shrinking the Squad by two
members. But you know what? We're still here, and we are NOT backing down.
My forever sister-in-service Cori may not be in Congress right now, but
she's still in this fight. She's building a PAC to elect progressive
leaders who will stand up to corporate greed, take on right-wing
billionaires, and fight for our communities. Because that's how we win: by
organizing, mobilizing, and building power from the ground up.
I know this because I've lived it. I'm in Congress today because
grassroots organizers, union members, and working people had my back. And
together, we proved that organized people can beat organized money.
