This week marks five years since the murder of George Floyd, a moment that sparked a global movement for racial justice and corporate promises of change.

One of those promises came from Target. In 2020, Target pledged to support Black communities through DEI initiatives, partnerships with Black-owned businesses, and community investment. But earlier this year, Target’s board quietly dismantled those commitments, using the return of authoritarian politics as cover to walk away from the very communities whose trust built their brand.

We must connect the dots and hold Target accountable.

Join us this Sunday for a prayer vigil in Washington, DC, led by Rev. Graylan Scott Hagler and local faith and community leaders.
