Seventeen Women Graduate from NVFS Training Futures Workforce Program on May 15
Congratulations to our most recent Training Futures <[link removed]> graduates! Recently, we celebrated our most recent graduating class of 17 women who trained for 12 weeks in a simulated office environment with the goal of gaining the skills and confidence needed for them to obtain an entry-level professional career with potential for advancement. This workforce development program, established in 1996, has helped more than 2,500 people from various backgrounds and experiences take the next steps in their career.
Or, as trainee, Zuhal Neyazi, explained, “Before this training, I was someone else—I didn’t know what I could do. But in NVFS' Training Futures, I found myself. I discovered who I am. I always wanted to be a successful woman, and now I can say that I will be a successful woman in the future. I believe in myself, and it’s just the beginning.”

Volunteer Spotlight: Clark Construction Brings Storage Solution to the NVFS SERVE Campus
Clark Construction played an instrumental role, replacing and significantly improving storage at the NVFS SERVE campus <[link removed]> in Manassas. They replaced a line of old mismatched sheds with two matching 20’ storage containers. Dakota Snyder from Clark Construction led the project, including advising on appropriate, weather-resistant storage and recruiting carpentry volunteers to build custom shelving inside the units. With Clark’s expertise, persistence and generosity, all Greater Prince William programs and the families they serve now have adequate, organized, well-lit, inventoried storage for crucial supplies like car seats, cribs, welcome home kits, hygiene and household supplies, and facility supplies.
Thank you Clark Construction!
