John,

North Atlantic right whales are among the world's most endangered whale species. More than 140 of them have been killed or injured since 2017. Now only 370 whales, including 70 breeding females, remain on Earth.

Yet President Donald Trump has launched a new attack on these magnificent animals. [link removed]

For the sake of monied interests, Trump is considering slashing federal rules that protect North Atlantic right whales from the leading causes of their decline: deadly ship strikes and entanglement in commercial fishing gear. Without these safeguards, the whales could be functionally extinct around 2035 — just 10 years from now.

Right whales are a gift to all of us. They support the ocean food web and keep marine ecosystems healthy — and they deserve to live.

Sound the alarm. Tell Trump and his administration to leave these critical whale protections alone. [link removed]
