Happy throwback Thursday, John!
Tina fell in love with Oregon almost four decades ago. Her way of giving back to the state that embraced her is to fight hard for our values and make Oregon a place where everyone can be successful.

Tina arrived in Eugene from the East Coast in 1987 and fell in love with the natural beauty of her new home. She eventually went back to school and got her degree at the University of Oregon.
She was able to finish school debt-free because of Pell Grants, work-study assistance, and affordable tuition.
Unfortunately, these kinds of opportunities are under attack because Donald Trump and Republicans in Congress would rather give tax cuts to billionaires than support learning and education for millions of hard-working students.
Trump has cut the Department of Education, slashed funding for schools, and sought to eliminate DEI programs that create greater opportunity for every Oregonian.
Tina has made it clear: Trump’s efforts to dismantle the Department of Education are only creating uncertainty, chaos, and fear. Elected leaders should provide young people with a quality education, no matter where they live or who they are.
That’s why Tina works so hard to protect our state’s public schools and universities to ensure every student can get an excellent education without breaking the bank.
In the face of attacks on public education, Tina needs our support. Pitch in to support her work to keep our education system affordable and accessible to all students.
