Public comment open for Wyoming State Wildlife Action Plan revisions
The Wyoming Game and Fish Department has initiated the revision process for Wyoming’s State Wildlife Action Plan (SWAP), which is updated every 10 years. The Department is currently soliciting input on how the 2017 SWAP has been used, which will help inform the 2027 revision. Public comment will be accepted through June 6, 2025.

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is calling on hunters, anglers and all outdoor recreationists to be the guardians of our public access opportunities. Your vigilance and prompt reporting of vandalism and misuse on lands managed for public use are crucial in preserving these shared spaces.

Agencies continue work to secure funding for Dubois wildlife crossing project
The project, which proposes a series of strategically placed underpasses, an overpass and fencing along a critical stretch of U.S. Highway 26/287, has received public support and early funding commitments. However, additional funding is necessary to move the project into construction and the agencies are actively working to secure that funding as opportunities arise.
