Passed in Darkness. Funded by Greed. Fueled by Misogyny.

John  While you slept, they struck.

In the dead of night, behind closed doors and cloaked in silence, House Republicans passed what they have the gall to call their “Big, Beautiful Bill.” It is not beautiful. It is brutal.

This bill was passed without transparency. Without shame. No national debate. No listening to the people. Just the quiet click of a gavel and a chorus of YES votes from those who will never need Medicaid. Never skip a meal. Never fear a positive pregnancy test.

Here’s what they cut—who they cut—while America slept:

Medicaid: Gone for millions of people. That means these people will have no prenatal care. No cancer screenings. No coverage for disabled children. No help for these people in nursing homes.

SNAP (food assistance): Slashed. With stricter work requirements that don't account for real-life circumstances, including caregiving responsibilities, illness, or job deserts, thousands—maybe millions—will lose the only help they had to feed their kids.

Childcare support: Cut. Which forces women out of the workforce and back into poverty.

Housing assistance: Cut. If you’re a single mom with nowhere to go, you’re on your own.

Support for people with disabilities: Cut. Programs that help disabled women live with dignity—or caregivers keep going—gutted.

Job training. Education. Public health. Gone.

And for what?  So the wealthiest can reap trillions in tax cuts.

They didn’t just vote for a budget.
They voted to betray women.
To abandon children.
To make sure that being born poor in America means staying poor—and suffering for it.

BUT HERE’S WHAT COMES NEXT:

In our upcoming Bulletins, we will do what they tried to hide:

🔹 We will publish the names of every Representative who voted for this betrayal.
🔹 We will thank those who stood for women and children—who had the courage to vote no.
🔹 We will lift the veil on this shameful chapter and demand accountability.

WHAT YOU CAN DO NOW:

Speak to your friends and neighbors.

Get ready to vote—and organize others to do the same.

Watch for our full report on who betrayed you and who had your back.

We are not going quietly.

This isn’t over. It’s only the beginning.

Onward for equality,
