John – Early this morning, House Republicans voted to pass Donald Trump’s Big Bogus Budget bill.
I voted NO – standing united with every House Democrat and even two Republicans – against this devastating, morally bankrupt bill pulled straight from Trump’s Project 2025 playbook.
If the Senate passes this bill and Trump signs it into law...
Millions of Americans would be kicked off their health insurance and lose access to critical programs like food assistance, all to give tax breaks to the wealthy, right-wing MAGA allies.
In the South Sound alone, over
40,000 families could lose food assistance. Nearly
50,000 could lose their Apple Health (Medicaid) coverage. And our elders could be kicked out of nursing homes, left without care, dignity, or a safe place to live.
This budget would devastate our community.
I’m not backing down – not now, not ever. I need you with me, John. Will you chip in today and help me fight back against this extreme and dangerous bill?
There’s a reason why Republicans passed this bill in the early morning hours after an all-night session. There’s a reason they’re dodging townhalls. There’s a reason they’re doing everything behind closed doors.
Because they know exactly what they’re doing: stealing from you – the American people. They do not care if you get sick, injured, go hungry, or can’t pay your bills.
But I do – and so do my Democratic colleagues. And we’re going to keep fighting no matter what they throw at us.
