Warren for Senate

I am really, really angry.

Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos are out there popping bottles of champagne that cost more than someone’s monthly rent because of what Republicans just did.

In the dead of night, Republicans in the House just passed Trump’s “big, beautiful” spending plan.

If this gets signed into law, this will be the greatest transfer of wealth from the poor to the billionaires in all of US History.

They essentially just spent this past week debating whether 14 million people should lose their health care, or if 20 million people should lose their health care. Whether 10 million babies should go hungry, or 5 million babies should be hungry.

All so the government can hand that money over to billionaires through tax giveaways.

Billionaires like Elon Musk, who had his net worth grow $186 billion in the last year and is on track to become the world’s first trillionaire. He and his peers in the “Top 10 Richest Americans Club” together became $365 billion richer in the past year. That’s a billion a day.

That’s who this bill is for. That’s who has the most to gain from this legislation. That’s what they are getting for bending the knee to Trump. It’s sick.

It will raise prices for everyone who Trump promised he would lower costs for. Workers who made an annual average of $50,000 in 2023.

So, what’s next? We need to do everything in our power to stop this from passing the Senate.

This isn’t a done deal yet.

The last time we came together when Trump tried to repeal health care, we stopped him. Americans told their stories and raised their voices — with disabled activists literally putting their bodies on the line in the halls of Congress.

It mattered.

Even though the Republican House voted to repeal the Affordable Care Act, even though they popped over to celebrate on the White House lawn, even though they may have thought they had it in the bag, we kept fighting back, and we defeated them.

I know we can do this. We have to.

Don’t let anyone tell you it won’t make a difference to speak out.

I’ll be in touch on the ways we can fight back on this.

Thanks for being a part of this,

Elizabeth
