Dear A.,
We are outraged and horrified by the terrorist attack that resulted in the murder of two Israeli embassy staff members—Sarah Lynn Milgrim and Yaron Lischinsky—last night in Washington, D.C.
Together, we mourn with their family, friends, colleagues at the Israeli Embassy, and the people of Israel, and we stand with our friends at AJC.
We appreciate the dedicated work of law enforcement to apprehend the shooter and appreciate that Attorney General Pam Bondi personally went to the scene.
Since the barbaric Hamas attack of October 7, Israel and the Jewish community throughout the world have confronted increased levels of antisemitic demonization and blood libels.
We are grateful to the multitude of Democrats and Republicans in Congress, and to the Trump administration, who have spoken out in unequivocal support of our community and the people of Israel in the aftermath of this despicable attack. You can find these statements on

As we mourn together, we redouble our efforts to work and fight for the security of the Jewish people and the Jewish state. Backed by the conviction, passion, and political will of our community, we will wage this fight with unyielding strength and determination.
May the memories of Yaron and Sarah be a blessing. Am Yisrael Chai.

secret sites to protect it from a potential strike.
Israel is reportedly preparing for a potential strike on Iran's nuclear facilities should negotiations collapse.
The fifth round of negotiations is set to take place in Rome on Friday. The Trump administration has repeated its red line that any agreement must include the “total dismantlement” of Iran’s nuclear program.
Israeli Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer and the director of Israel's Mossad David Barnea

The Wall Street Journal reported today .
Among the other top operatives killed was Mohammad Shabana, the commander of the terror group’s Rafah brigade.
"Hamas found Sinwar’s body a day after the strike and buried it in a temporary grave in another tunnel after his family was informed, the officials said, confirming Israeli claims that he was likely dead," the WSJ said.
Earlier this week, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz told a closed-door parliamentary meeting that Sinwar was likely killed in the strike, and that he and senior Hamas officials had been operating beneath the European Hospital in Khan Younis.
