Late last night House Republicans passed their latest budget by a single
vote – with every Democrat voting no. The bill will be devastating for
millions of people across the country.
Now, it moves to the Senate where we must continue to fight for the
American people. To do that, it’s absolutely critical to help more people
understand what’s at stake.
Here’s just a sampling of the disastrous impact:
* Reduce access to Medicaid coverage for up to 14 million people^[ [link removed] ]

* Eliminate key investments in clean energy that support jobs and lower

* Make permanent tax breaks that overwhelmingly benefit the wealthiest

These cuts would hit the most vulnerable the hardest – seniors, children,
working parents, people living with disabilities. And they’re a conscious
choice by Trump and his MAGA allies to pay for tax breaks for billionaires
and corporations.

In addition to all of the irresponsible cuts to essential programs, the
bill also includes a provision that would limit the power of federal
courts to block unlawful or unconstitutional government actions on a

oversight and shield Trump’s agenda from legal accountability and must be
stopped.
The good news is that there’s still time. The Senate can amend or reject
the most harmful parts of this bill – but only if people are paying
attention.
