John –
Republicans waited until the dead of night to push their megabill forward. But our SEEC members are exposing their attempts to pull a fast one over the American people.
Yesterday, our environmental champions held a press conference to make sure the American people learn what this bill really is: a massive giveaway to billionaires and mega-polluters – funded by selling out our health, economy, and children’s future. Leading the charge were SEEC Co-Chairs Reps. Paul Tonko (NY-20) and Doris Matsui (CA-7) ; Vice Chairs Reps. Don Beyer (VA-8) , Suzanne Bonamici (OR-1) , Sean Casten (IL-6) , and Mike Levin (CA-49) ; as well as Rep. Jared Huffman (CA-2) and Rep. Teresa Leger Fernández (NM-3).
If you value reducing costs, clean air and water, public health, and a thriving American economy, please consider a donation today to support the SEEC members who stayed up through the night to fight the GOP’s grift: [[link removed]]

While other countries are forging ahead on clean energy transitions and scientific research, this Republican megabill drags the United States back not by years, but by decades – all in the name of tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans and higher profit margins for corporations.
SEEC member Rep. Jared Huffman sums it up:
“...the billionaire-backed reconciliation bill is the single most extreme, anti-environment piece of legislation Congress has ever seen. And here’s the kicker: the same Republicans who claim to be fiscally responsible – the same ones who wring their hands about deficits when it’s time to fund food assistance or climate resilience – are about to add $3.8 trillion to the national debt …The same folks…are destroying national parks, public lands, and sacred Tribal sites just to please the oil lobby.”
When Republicans do favors for their Big Oil backers, SEEC members are fighting back twice as hard for the American people. Our numbers are strong, making up nearly one-fourth of the House, but it’s your contribution today that helps us build our ranks further and safeguard America’s climate future for years to come. Please consider a donation of any amount today to help us do that: [[link removed]]

Thank you,
SEEC PAC
Thanks to your help in 2024, SEEC PAC was able to re-elect over 95% of our pro-environment members to the U.S. House of Representatives — defying the odds on a night where Democrats lost seats. Now we are counting on you to help our SEEC members pass climate, clean energy and environmental justice policies in the 119th Congress while we continue fighting for a sustainable future. But if you'd like to receive fewer emails, we understand.
