John,
So first, Trump effectively suspended the U.S. refugee admissions program in January.
Then, he welcomed white “refugees” from South Africa with open arms, arguing that the pause of the refugee program is subject to exceptions when the refugees “could be assimilated easily into our country.”
Yesterday, Trump ambushed South African President Cyril Ramaphosa in the Oval Office, repeating false claims of a "white genocide" in South Africa despite the South African President’s attempts to correct him.
It’s clear: Trump, no matter how often he is faced with FACTS, is going to continue the racist narrative he’s believed for decades. The narrative? That white people are under attack.
It’s why he took out a full-page ad attacking the Exonerated Five in the 80’s. It’s why the Trump administration is trying to make DEI a dirty word and erase all aspects of progress that we’ve made. It’s why he’s trying to ban books, erase Black history, defund research and museums, and censor what can be taught in our classrooms.
We aren’t going to let Trump continue to spread this false narrative about a “white genocide.” If you’re just as disgusted with his message, chip in to help us fight back.
When Black and Brown people seek refuge from genuine violence, persecution, and harm, they're thrown into detention centers, criminalized, and dehumanized.
This hypocrisy reveals everything: It’s about who Trump and his administration believe deserves protection, who’s allowed to belong, and whose humanity is recognized.
We refuse to stay silent. Support our fight against Trump’s racist immigration policies and all of the white supremacist policies that this administration is furthering by chipping in right now.
