Love Where You Live? Help Us Plan What’s Next!
bike
We’re planning for the next 10–15 years—and we need YOU to be part of the vision! The Village is working on two major plans:
* A new Comprehensive Plan to guide housing, land use and transportation.
* A Bicycle & Pedestrian Plan to improve walking and biking access across town.
Tell us what matters most to you—safer streets? More trails? New development? Learn more, take a quick survey [ [link removed] ] and let your voice be heard.

Plan Ahead: Memorial Day
Flag
In honor of Memorial Day, the Village of Oswego's offices will be closed on May 26. Garbage collection will be delayed by one day that week.
As we approach a day of remembrance, we reflect on the courage of the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our nation and our way of life.
Additional Ways to Pay Tribute
This Memorial Day, take part in meaningful events like visiting the Illinois Fallen Wall [ [link removed] ], which is a powerful memorial featuring photos of every Illinois service member killed in action since 9/11/01. Located in the Village Hall Lobby, 100 Parkers Mill, this display will be open for viewing from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. Memorial Day weekend (May 24-26).
Or join Oswego American Legion Post 675 on May 26 at 10 a.m. for the Memorial Day Parade. The parade will travel from Polk St to Monroe St to Jefferson St to Main St, with a final stop at the Oswego Township Cemetery where a memorial service will be held.
