Dear MoveOn member,
BREAKING: Republicans in Congress just passed the largest health care cuts in American history, including $500 billion in cuts to Medicare and $700 billion in cuts to Medicaid.1
MAGA's despicable "big, beautiful bill" also slashes $300 billion in food assistance, undoes the transition to clean energy, and repeals student loan assistance—all to give the ultra-wealthy enormous tax cuts.2
We're going to fight like hell to stop this bill in the Senate, while holding MAGA Republicans accountable for their staggeringly cruel plan to rip health care away from 14 million people.3
And
no matter what happens next, we must hold MAGA Republicans accountable
and ensure they lose control of the House of Representatives in 2026.
Will you start an emergency monthly donation of $5 to fund our digital ad and billboard campaign targeting vulnerable Republican representatives who barely won their seats in 2024? Your ongoing donation will support getting these ads up and keeping them running for as long as it takes and will also help power other critical tactics to hold these Republicans accountable.
Yes, I'll chip in $5 a month. (If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately.)
No, I'm sorry, I can't make a monthly donation.
We can hold Republicans accountable for this travesty because the majority of Republican voters hate this huge, ugly bill once they know what's actually in it.
Fewer than 1 in 5 Americans want Medicaid funding cut.4 One survey found only 8% of voters nationally favor cuts.5
Think about that—92% of us want to keep or increase funding! Ninety-two percent! That includes the vast majority of Trump voters. And even in the most ruby red congressional districts, less than 15% of voters support cutting Medicaid!6
Yet House Republicans barreled ahead, against the will of the people. They're counting on the public not noticing. They've been scheming behind closed doors—holding committee debates in the dead of night and over the weekend and ultimately passing the bill in the wee hours of the morning.7 It's undemocratic and underhanded, all to hide a wildly unpopular agenda.
Our emergency campaign to run hard-hitting ads and billboards in key congressional districts exposes exactly what these Republican lawmakers voted for. Please chip in $5 a month to power these tactics and sustain our fight over the long run.

We're going to hold representatives who are particularly vulnerable accountable. Like Representative Don Bacon in Nebraska, Representative Monica De La Cruz in Texas, and four others.
These representatives narrowly won their seats and are in districts that Kamala Harris won in 2024 or that overwhelmingly oppose cuts. They're some of the most flippable seats in Congress. When Republican lawmakers throw their constituents under the bus like this, they're putting their own careers in jeopardy. For example, Axios reports that Representative Gabe Evans of Colorado is in a politically fraught position in his swing district after voting for these highly unpopular cuts.8
With your help, we’re going to turn up accountability to an unbearable level, for as long as it takes. But time is of the essence. Please pitch in $5 a month. Your ongoing support couldn't be more crucial to sustaining our fight.

The fact is, virtually every senior citizen relies on Medicare, and seniors are already struggling without these cuts.9 And Medicaid is a critical program, relied on by 83 million people across America.10
MoveOn is prepared to launch billboards blasting the truth about just how many Americans would be hurt by this unconscionable bill. We'll put the billboards in the districts of vulnerable Republicans and also run digital ads, so their constituents see what's at stake. But we urgently need your help to fund this rapid-response work.
With your help, we really can win this crucial fight. Trump's House majority is paper-thin. This bill will come back to the House, and if just four Republicans flip and vote no, we can defeat it. That's our immediate goal: peel off the weak links by putting them under enormous constituent pressure and doing everything we can to sink their poll numbers.
And if Republicans override the will of the people and ram through this cruel bill? We need to make sure there's accountability at the ballot box. We have to both stop the bill when it comes back to the House and make their toxic agenda a centerpiece issue heading into 2026.
Please, if you are able, click below and chip in $5 a month to help us get our ads and billboards up and running as quickly as possible, keep them up for as long as it takes, and power our fight to hold these Republicans accountable, including at the ballot box in November 2026 if it comes to that.
