I'm furious, John.

Just after sunrise this morning, House Republicans rammed through Donald Trump’s so-called Big Beautiful Bill – by a single vote. Now, it’s headed to the Senate.

Let me be clear: this bill is reckless, corrupt, and devastating for working families. I’m calling it the Big Ugly Bill , because here’s what happens if it’s signed into law:

- Over $1 trillion slashed from Medicaid, Medicare, food assistance, and more.
- 14 million people at risk of losing health coverage and 10 million at risk of going hungry.
- Untold billions in giveaways to Trump’s donors and cronies like Elon Musk.

I voted NO. And I will keep fighting with everything I have to stop this in its tracks.

But I can’t do it alone. The fact that this was debated in the dark of night should tell you everything you need to know: Republicans don’t want the truth getting out. If we don’t stop the Big Ugly Bill in the Senate, they’ll continue to gut our basic protections to fund luxury tax breaks for billionaires.
