I am outraged and disgusted, John.
In the middle of the night, while hard working families were sleeping, House Republicans bowed down to President Trump and rammed through a cruel, callous, and extreme bill slashing funding to Medicaid, SNAP, and even law enforcement, all while handing massive tax breaks to billionaires.
With Trump’s tariffs already driving up food prices, this bill makes it even harder for lower-income families to afford meals and medicine. This means empty lunch boxes and dinner tables, and insurmountable health care costs across America. It means taking food and healthcare away from over 18 million kids to bankroll tax breaks for billionaires like Elon Musk.
And they passed it by just one vote, with zero Democratic support.
This is the most heartless, dangerous bill I’ve seen in my lifetime. And it’s never been clearer: we must take back the House Majority to stop MAGA Republicans from destroying basic programs Americans rely on to survive. And it starts with defending this seat.
But Trump and his allies, who want me out of Congress, have made it clear that they are coming after me. They’re pummeling me with attacks because I’ve been unafraid to hold Trump accountable. And most of all, they want vengeance for me blowing the whistle on Trump’s corruption nearly 6 years ago.
We can't let them succeed, so we need to be ready to fight back. And I can’t do it alone.
