We need your voice to help stop this big, bad budget bill

🚨 MAJOR UPDATE: The House of Representatives just passed the disastrous Republican budget bill to advance President Trump’s agenda.

We must do everything we can to urge the Senate to protect vital programs and clean energy tax credits that Americans depend on. Email your senators right now.

Friend—

The House just passed Trump’s “one big, beautiful bill” (more like “big, bad billionaire bill”) and there’s nothing beautiful about it. That’s because it’s an aggressive repeal of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) clean energy programs we fought so hard to win, not to mention an assault on working families across America who depend on the lifesaving programs the House just voted to cut.

While the news is disappointing, our fight is far from over. The next stop for this bill is the Senate, where Republicans are expected to try to rush a vote through before most Americans even know what’s happening.

That means this moment is critical for putting pressure on senators who might still be persuaded, and for reminding senators who already oppose it to hold strong and not give an inch. Will you do your part and send your senators a message right now? ([link removed])

Let’s be extra clear about what will happen if the budget bill passes and gets signed by Trump: Everyday working Americans are going to lose more of their hard-earned money just so billionaires can get massive tax breaks.

Here are some specific impacts we can anticipate:

The price of gasoline could increase by 37 cents per gallon—over $200 per year for the average gas vehicle. Costs for new electric vehicles will go up by $7,500, plus a $250 annual fee.

Electricity costs for American households could go up by more than $110 in 2026.

Skyrocketing insurance premiums will get even worse, and more people will lose their homes due to the worsening climate crisis.

$300 billion will get gutted from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), which currently helps over 42 million people across the country afford groceries.

And more outlined in our recent blog. ([link removed])

📣 We need Evergreen advocates like you to show up in this moment to make sure that our voices are heard and that our senators understand who they work for.

Otherwise, the next federal budget could cut vital support for households across the country, put unnecessary financial stress on working Americans, and take a sledgehammer to hard-won climate progress—just so Donald Trump can make payouts to the billionaire cronies that funded his campaign.

Don’t wait, friend. Email your senators right now and urge them to fight for you by voting NO on the GOP budget bill. ([link removed])

Thanks for your continued advocacy,
