[ [link removed] ]New report: gun lobby spending millions on Congress
John-

New reporting just confirmed what we've long known: The gun lobby is
flooding Washington with money.

[ [link removed] ]A graph from "The Reload" showing levels of spending on lobbying in
Congress between Everytown and the gun lobby, with the NSSF spending over
$1.5 million, the NRA over $500K, and Everytown at about $400K spent.

In just the first three months of this year, gun lobby groups—led by the
NRA and the NSSF—spent more than $2.4 million lobbying Congress to weaken
gun laws.

The gun lobby is using its financial firepower to push permitless carry,
lower the age to purchase a firearm, and pressure lawmakers into
prioritizing the gun industry's profits.

We have to fight back the best way we know how: mobilizing our volunteer
base, strategizing for key campaigns that put pressure on members of
Congress, and organizing across cities and states to hold the gun industry
accountable—and more.

[ [link removed] ]John, can we count on you to support these efforts to end
gun violence with a donation today? We'll get to work mobilizing our
supporter base, advocating for crucial gun safety legislation, and helping
elect Gun Sense Candidates down the ballot.

This is the gun lobby's playbook—spend big, silence reform, and protect
their bottom line. Our playbook? Out-organize their attempts to push its
guns everywhere agenda, outnumber their force by continuing to grow our
movement, and outlast their efforts to weaken our gun safety.

And when we organize, mobilize, and speak out together, we've proven we
can beat even the most deep-pocketed opponents. But to counter the gun
lobby's influence, we need to build the kind of grassroots power that
can't be bought.

[ [link removed] ]Rush a donation now to help Everytown for Gun Safety push back against
the gun lobby's guns everywhere agenda by activating our base of 11
million supporters, advocating for life-saving legislation, and electing
Gun Sense Candidates who will stand up to the gun lobby.
