The conditions in Gaza desperate and are worsening. An estimated half a million Palestinians are at risk of starvation, and IRC teams are seeing a clear rise in malnutrition among children. There is a critical risk of famine with children and families starving.

Right now, the IRC and our partners are doing everything we can to respond to the growing humanitarian crisis, focusing on reaching families and children with lifesaving support wherever and however we can.

Goods indispensable for people's survival are expected to run out in the coming weeks. Families are sharing a single piece of bread among five or six members. Children are regularly going to bed hungry.

We need your support to continue reaching children and families with the essentials they need to survive. To date, the IRC and our partners have reached more than 24,000 children in Gaza through nutrition programming, and more than 180,000 people across our response. Every dollar can help provide emergency aid, like:
  • Ready-to-use therapeutic food to treat malnourished children.

  • Emergency latrines and hygiene kits to prevent the spread of disease.

  • Medical care for those suffering from hunger and conflict.
While the IRC and our partners continue working to deliver aid in Gaza, access remains deeply restricted. Twenty-seven pallets of medical and nutrition supplies are still awaiting clearance to enter. We are urgently calling for the immediate reinstatement of the ceasefire, the release of all hostages, and an end to the blockade on aid—so that lifesaving support can reach all those in need.
