With near-daily policy changes from the government, staying informed has become increasingly difficult. But these changes aren’t just bureaucratic—they’re deeply personal to us at Catholic Relief Services.

Most recently, the administration is terminating all but two of CRS’ McGovern-Dole Food for Education school feeding programs, eliminating a daily school meal for close to 800,000 children in 11 countries beginning in July. For many, this was their only meal of the day.

These terminations aren’t just broken agreements with CRS. They’re broken promises to children, to farmers, to entire communities

Don’t Let Children Go Hungry

In Honduras, nearly half the students suffer from malnutrition, affecting their growth, learning, and health. CRS partners with local communities and governments to provide nutritious meals so children can learn and dream.

Lesotho is home to thousands of children whose futures are being shaped by school meals. More than 36,000 children in remote and food-insecure communities receive daily school meals through a CRS-supported program. These meals do more than fill stomachs—they improve teacher attendance, enhance learning and build trust between schools and communities.

Strengthen School-Community Trust

And here in the United States, American farmers and others can also see income related to this international food aid— benefiting families at home while feeding children abroad.

Your voice is urgently needed so we can continue to work for a world where no child goes hungry. Please email your members of Congress, asking them to urge the administration to reverse these terminations and continue providing lifesaving and life-affirming food aid.
