Let’s be clear about what just happened:

This jet isn’t a “gift” – Trump’s team reportedly tried to buy or lease this exact $400 million plane earlier this year. Now they’re spinning it as a friendly gesture from Qatar. That’s a lie, and they know it. [2]

Trump is letting a foreign country buy access and influence, while taxpayers will be left with the $1 billion bill it will take to retrofit and secure this plane – or worse, putting national security at risk by skipping it entirely. [3]

Attorney General Pam Bondi, who approved this deal, used to make $115,000 per month lobbying for Qatar – a clear conflict of interest. [4]

The Emoluments Clause of our Constitution couldn’t be clearer: Presidents cannot accept gifts from foreign countries without Congress approving it. Trump is breaking the law, and Congress has the power to stop him.

The plane is just the latest reminder that Trump works for the highest bidder, not for working Americans trying to afford groceries or pay rent. While we face rising costs from his tariffs, Trump’s busy accepting luxury jets for himself and rigging the system for billionaires.
